Dreamcast top 100(75? Maybe)

So I'm working on, I guess a top 75, for my beloved Dreamcast. This is just a rough 1st draft I have alot of tinkering to do. Dreamcast top 100 1. Super magnetic neo This the most underated game of all time. yes its tough, BUT FAIR (bunch of whiny pu$$ie$)if you take the time to master its mechanics it is endlessly rewarding 2. Crazy taxi What more needs to be said about this game, it is perfect 3. Grandia II Best rpg ever, the story, the music, that EPIC battle system 4. Jet grind radio Despite the anoyance of having to contantly pull the trigger to dash and the slow movement speed in general I still absolutely love this game 5. Power stone Unfortunately when this game didn't sell well in Japan Capcom pig headedly thought that meant it sucked and tore everthing great about it down to the studs and made a sequal whose only, small value is as a 3-4 player game. When's the last time you had 2-3 people over to game? Yeah, me neither. 6. Virtua tennis Mmyyaa (chef's kiss) the only knock here is openents are to easy in the begining of the career mode. Which certainly beats how much you suck at the start in the sequel 7. Thps 2 It's a toss up which is better, this of THUG 8. Sonic adventure Yep, still love this game. Have kniuckles stages aged poorly, sure (still beats the hell outta the awful stages in SA2), did Tails, Amy and Big's stages always such? You betcha but Sonic and E-102 stages are still great. As is the music and the vibes. This game and Mario Sunshine get shit on a lot lately, here's a lesson for you kids: people are fuckin stupid. 9. Crazy taxi 2 If I see another dipshit disrespect this game with the 1st one is better bluster. Yes they thinned the traffic out too much, small apple is too easy, around apple is too hard and 3-4 passengers is a ride ender. however if you don't own this game you're stupid. it's not a 1 or the other situation, get both. Especially considering 3 SUCKED and Fare Wars (PSP) was a dumpter fire. At least that mobile game was good. 10. Bangai-o It's tough picking the best shmup on the DC, this is my pick 11. Because 2/3 of it is great and 1/3 of it is shit. The emerald finder in Knuckles/Rouge levels is so god damn broken levels that should take 12-15 min end up taking 45 min, 1 hr, 1hr 20 mins AND you can't skip them like the crappy levels in SA 1. Best game magazines ever

It has been incredibly difficult and daunting trying to write this article. I created the links for this page in November 2023. Every time I try think to think of what to say about these two amazing magazines, I find myself at a loss as to how to adequately convey how much i love them and what they've meant to me over the years. Having re-read them over and over through the years a can honestly say these magazines represent the pinacle of games journalism. I'm currently stuck in a Spectrum store on MLK day so let's get into it: These two mags are essentialy the same creative team. After Gamers' Republic was closed in early 2001 (march) they pivoted to Play (US), which ran from Jan 2002 till sometime in 2010. I think the best way to encapsulate the people who created these mags is that they are artists. The holy grail of Dreamcast gaming

Super Magnetic Neo (DC ) Why is Super Magnetic Neo my favorite game of all time? Well, for nostalgic reasons mostly: it was my favorite Dreamcast game and for a long time the Dreamcast was my favorite console. It is a 3D platformer and those are my favorite genre, it stands tall in a generation crowded with good to freaking great games.(Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Mario Sunshine, Voodoo Vince, I-Ninja, Vexx, Tork, Sonic Adventure 1 and Heroes, Sly Cooper and the Theivius Racoonus, Ratchet and Clank 2 and 3, Jak and Daxter, as well as Daxter [PSP]) But mostly I still love it so much because it keeps pulling me back, something the exceptional Rayman 2 unfortunately has not done. First things first Neo is HARD as fucking nails, especially the last 40% of the game. Something that obviously caused the nancy boy who reviewed it for IGN to give it an unfair 6.9. A Review for a modded Sega Saturn A modded Sega Saturn is a system that can play CD-Rs with ROMs burned onto them. I got one from someone advertising it on the net, He did it for around $65 ($24 of that was shipping it back and forth) the PCB board itself only cost $38 if you have a soldering gun and know how to use it. If you want to buy a Saturn and mod it, I would recommend buying some cheap games first as your unlikely to fork over cash for stuff when you can get it for free. Good sites to download from are emuparidise.com,(Best) doperoms (malware free but not a great selection) coolroms.com (full of spyware but good selection). I can't recommend doing this enough as too many of the best Saturn games are infuriatingly expensive, especially if you already have a Saturn but are missing out on classics like Radiant Silvergun, Soukygurentai, Guardian Heroes, Panzer Dragoon Saga and oh so many more.
